Ikebana is an expression in three dimensions composed of plant material usually arranged in a vase. The Sogetsu School of Ikebana offers the opportunity for all individuals to bring their own aesthetic and personality to the practice of flower arranging. Just as each person is diverse from another, the students of Sogetsu are encouraged to create sculptural designs that are individualistic and imaginative.
The members of Soho Study Group are a dedicated group of individuals who continue our study of Ikebana with workshops and educational meetings for our members. All our members have come to the study of flower arranging by being students of our advisor, Soho Sakai, Riji, Sogetsu School who teaches Sogetsu Ikebana at numerous locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
